ARLINGTON — Arlington police are investigating a fatal shooting early Friday as a possible home invasion.

The 21-year-old victim was found mortally wounded in an apartment at the King Landing at Avalon Landing complex in the 2300 block of Fair Oaks at around 4:15 a.m.

The man, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office as Francisco Tanguma, was pronounced dead about an hour later at Texas Health Fort Worth hospital.

According to police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard, investigators believe that two men broke in to the apartment and shot Tanguma.

"It's too early to determine what the motive is or what led to the shooting," Richard said. "We're following some leads, but it's still too early to release the suspect information."

A woman who was also home at the time of the break-in called 911 after the shooting. She was not injured, Richard said.
