Elderly couple found dead
ARLINGTON — The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office has identified the elderly couple found dead in their Arlington condo Sunday morning as Long Nguyen, 72, and his wife, 63-year-old Huong Ly.
No information was released about how the Vietnamese immigrants died.
Arlington police detectives have said foul play is suspected in their deaths, but no new information about the investigation was provided on Monday.
Police personnel continued working at the crime scene late Monday afternoon.
The couple had last been seen at a family gathering on Saturday night. They were expected at Nguyen's birthday party on Sunday.
Police said the victims' apartment in the 3600 block of Waverly Drive had been ransacked. Friends and neighbors said they couldn't understand why anyone would hurt Nguyen and Ly, who operated a small tailor shop.
A family friend said the couple came to Arlington with their three children 12 years ago.
Anyone with information that could be useful to investigators is asked to call Arlington Police Detective Byron Stewart at 817-459-5691, or Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477.
Oak Farms Dairy has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for the crime.
