The Arlington Police Department needs help identifying a man who has robbed two banks this month.

Spokeswoman Tiara Richard said the man –– described as 45-years-old, Asian, 5'2'' and between 130 and 140 pounds –– robbed a bank on Sept. 6 in the 2200 block of New York Ave. by handing the teller a note demanding money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Next, on Sept. 14, he walked into a bank at 9:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of Matlock Rd. and again gave the teller a note demanding money. He left in a white Honda Odyssey minivan or SUV. Richard said a dye pack exploded, spraying red dye on the suspect and possibly his vehicle.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call Det. Sean Wheetley at 817.459.5678 or Det. Jeremy Houchin at 817.459.5301. Tipsters remain anonymous and stand to gain $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
