DALLAS — Dallas police said Saturday there has been another sexual assault in the same general area as nine other attacks this summer.
The latest incident was reported just after 5 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Holmes Street in South Dallas.
Senior Cpl. DeMarquis Black said it has not yet been determined whether this case can be linked to the serial rapist.
Saturday's victim described her assailant as a heavyset African-American man in a small gray car.
Victims of the earlier crimes described the attacker as a black man in his mid-20s to 30s who weighs 180 to 200 pounds and has worn a T-shirt and basketball shorts. He is said to cover his face with a mask or bandana. He wears oval or round prescription glasses with a gold metal rim and has fled the scene in a silver Honda or Volvo sedan.
A man described by police as a "person of interest" was questioned on Friday but was not charged.
