FORT WORTH — The only known accomplice of the infamous "Barefoot Bandit" has been arrested in Fort Worth.

Harley Davidson Ironwing, 23, was arrested late Tuesday off Green Oaks Road on a felony escape warrant issued in Washington State.

He grew up with and was allegedly involved in a number of crimes with Colton Harris-Moore, the teen who gained national notoriety in 2009 and 2010.

Moore became known as the "Barefoot Bandit" after breaking into dozens of luxury homes and stealing planes, boats and cars in the Pacific Northwest.

The teen evaded capture for months.

Ironwing was accused of being an accomplice in some of the crimes.

The two men grew up together. Why Ironwing was in North Texas is a mystery, according to officials.

"He was with a bunch of people doing drugs. Who knows what brought him here, but he came to Fort Worth, and now he is going back to Washington in handcuffs," said Fort Worth police spokeswoman Tracey Knight.

Ironwing is being held at the Tarrant County jail before being transfered back to Washington.
