DALLAS — Dallas police are looking for three suspects who brazenly stole an ATM from a truck stop early Sunday morning.

The trio smashed a pickup truck through the glass door of the Love's Travel Stop restaurant at Interstate 20 and Polk Street.

They took the cash machine, but ended up abandoning the truck — and the ATM — nine miles away at Pine Street and Diamond Avenue near Highway 175 when they realized a police helicopter had spotted them.

The truck and the loot were recovered; the suspects got away.

The five employees at the truck stop were not hurt.
