THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the man who broke into Thomas Markle Jewelers in The Woodlands overnight.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the suspect made off with several pieces of jewelry. Security cameras captured the crime on video, which was later released to the media.
The sheriff's office said the burglary occurred just before midnight Monday in the 9500-block of Six Pines Drive.
The suspect ran through the store and pulled back the top glass of one of the display cases. He then scooped up as much of the merchandise as he could before running away. Investigators said the man entered the store through one of its side windows.
The sheriff's office described the suspect as a black male with dreadlocks. He stood about 5’10 and weighed approximately 180 pounds. He wore a white hoodie, gloves, and dark colored shorts.
Thomas Markle Jewelers is located in the same shopping center as a Tiffany’s jewelry store that was robbed on Oct. 10. The suspect in that case used pepper spray to distract employees while he made off with the loot. Investigators believe the Tiffany's robber may the same one who held up a Shenandoah bank using pepper spray on Sept. 24.
