ARLINGTON - Storm victims in North Texas could qualify for low-interest disaster loans.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering the assistance for homeowners and businesses affected by the tornadoes a couple of weeks ago.

The loans can have an interest rate as low as 1.875 percent, and pay up to $200,000 for residential damage. Loan terms can extend all the way out to 30 years.

An applicant's credit history and income are considered.

"Even if you know you're not going to need this type of assistance, or you're unsure, do it now," said Alex Contreras with the SBA. "So that when the time comes, you know what's available to you."

The deadline to apply for physical damage is June 18, 2012.
