DALLAS -- Local shoppers say Target and Neiman Marcus have hit the bull's-eye with their holiday collaboration, which goes on sale this Saturday.
“I come to Target a lot,” said shopper Shasta Claiborne.
“I'm always looking for the best value,” echoed shopper Lance Hardgrove.
These days who isn't? The two retail giants are giving gift givers a break.
“Just to have 24 of America's pre-eminent designers designing for both Target and Neiman Marcus is remarkable and unprecedented,” said Target’s Regional PR Manager, Andrea McCauley.
You've heard the designer's names: Jason Wu, Oscar de la Renta, Tory Burch. Their wares, perhaps once out of reach, now have prices within reason.
Target and Neiman Marcus shopper Jennifer Margolies will be purchasing from this holiday collection.
“I think that it's really fun to be able to shop in a certain price point," she said. "I definitely have already seen all the look books and looked into it and have my eye on certain products.”
Neiman Marcus and Target stores will open at 8 a.m. Saturday and the items will also be featured online. The holiday collection items are not expected to last.
“We've had designer partnerships for over 10 years,” McCauley said.
Out of about 50 pieces, the average price is around $60. The most expensive item is an Alice & Olivia bike for $500.
“I mean, I like nice stuff, but mostly if I'm going to buy something for a higher price, I want to give it as a gift to somebody,” Claiborne said.
Jason Wu ornaments are three for $50. If it still sounds like too much for designer, here’s one idea to make this gift go the distance for the dollar.
“You can gift them individually, so it's really tremendous the amount of value our shoppers will find when they shop this collection,” McCauley said.
