Many North Texans are facing sticker shock this weekend after a visit to the neighborhood gas station.

The price for a gallon of unleaded rose a whopping five cents overnight in Texas amid new concerns about violence in the Middle East and North Africa.

In fact, according to AAA Texas, the three-day increase of more than 20 cents is the fastest jump in gas prices since Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.

The average price for unleaded in Texas is now $3.20, and it's even more in North Texas, where we're paying an average of $3.21 a gallon.
