MESQUITE — All that stuff that had been squeezed into closets and stacked in storage is now spilling into the Mesquite Rodeo Exhibit Hall, looking for a new owner.
“I think it’s a win for everybody, because it helps us clean out and be good stewards of what we have. We’re not just ditching stuff, but giving it a new life,” explained Anne Beller, who has been a part of the Just Between Friends consignment mega meet-up for a decade.
Beller has watched the event grow: "From a room of about 3,000 square feet to about 35,000 square feet," she said. "It has gone from about 100 consignors to more than 1,000 consignors."
This Thursday, all the way through the weekend, they will meet again — North Texans buying and selling just about everything from each other.
Stacey Losher with the event offered a partial list of what's available: "There are maternity clothes, baby clothes, furniture, toys, swings, strollers, double strollers, triple strollers, jog strollers... anything and everything you need to get your kids ready for fall and winter."
Losher says everything for sale has been inspected and cleaned.
And priced to sell fast.
