DALLAS — Drive through downtown Dallas at night and while the skyline is brilliantly illuminated, the same can't be said for the highway.
One News 8 viewer asked us to take a look at Woodall Rodgers Freeway, where the lights are out.
And that brought up an interesting question: Who do you call when you spot streetlamps that aren't glowing as they should?
It took us a few calls to figure it out. It turns out that Oncor is in charge of replacing those lights, and it is counting on motorists to alert them.
Oncor has set up a simple online form to make a report at OncorStreetlight.com. Just enter the address or zoom in on the map to pinpoint the location of the problem pole. You can describe the precise problem by picking it from a list.
Repair requests can also be made by e-mail at contactcenter@oncor.com or by phone at 888-313-4747.
Oncor said workers will replace the lights along Woodall Rodgers Freeway over the weekend.
