November existing home sales rose sharply in North Texas

Home buyers were racing to get their sales done before the First-time Home Buyer Tax Credit expired.  Nationally, November's sales rose 7.4 percent.  The number of existing homes sold in North Texas jumped dramatically last month to the highest level in nearly three years. In Dallas County, existing home sales increased 14 percent. Sales went up 32 percent in Tarrant County.  In Denton County, they rose 37 percent, and Collin County saw a 39 percent jump.
