DALLAS - Health officials on Monday reported Dallas County's fifteenth death linked to the swine flu virus.

Dallas County Health and Human Services said the 44-year-old Dallas County man had underlying medical conditions. No additional information about the victim was available.

In a statement issued Monday afternoon, health authorities urged the public to get the H1N1 flu vaccine as soon as possible. "The vaccine is the best tool we have to fight against the flu," the statement said.

The health department plans to offer the vaccine to uninsured Dallas County residents at a free clinic on Wednesday, November 4. Doses will be available to the five priority groups outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:

??pregnant women

??health care and emergency medical services personnel

??people who live with or care for children younger than six months of age

??persons between the ages of six months to 24 years old

??persons ages 25 to 64 years old with chronic medical conditions

The clinic will be held at the Dallas County Health and Human Services building at 2377 North Stemmons Freeway in Dallas between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
