DALLAS - American Airlines skycaps at D/FW International Airport and 85 terminals across the country have been allowed to join a class action lawsuit against the company.
A federal judge made the ruling in Boston this week.
Shannon Liss-Riordan, the Massachusetts attorney who filed the case, said there are now hundreds of plaintiffs including some from Texas.
At issue is the airline's $2 curbside baggage fee American imposed a couple years ago to increase revenue as it and the industry struggled financially.
Skycaps complained they lost tips because of the fee.
Nine Massachusetts skycaps already won a $325,000 settlement but none have been paid as the airline appeals.
