FORT WORTH - Tarrant County Public Health says it will offer H1N1 flu vaccine at a special clinic this Friday, October 30, at the W.G. Thomas Coliseum in Haltom City.
Health officials will provide the vaccine to pregnant women and to high-risk children ages 6 months to 18 years. The vaccine will be available free of charge in both injectable and nasal spray doses.
High-risk children include those with chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes and chronic heart or lung conditions. The health department is operating under guidelines from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
The clinic, at 6108 Broadway, is scheduled to be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.
Tarrant County Public Health said it will schedule additional H1N1 clinics as more vaccine becomes available.
