NEW YORK — We're heading into Day 4 of the AMR Corp. bankruptcy hearing in New York.
On Wednesday, a top financial adviser testified that he thinks the parent company of American Airlines will consider a merger as part of its reorganization plan. But David Resnick said the company should form a standalone restructuring proposal.
The president of US Airways also said Wednesday that merging with AMR would save more than a billion dollars a year and add revenue to the proposed combination.
The bankruptcy hearing continues through Friday.
