SEAGOVILLE — Seagoville, south of Dallas, is fighting to keep something it's had for almost 130 years.

The city's post office is a potential target for U.S. Postal Service budget cuts, but residents are fighting to save the facility.

They are putting up signs and signing petitions appealing for the post office to stay. Seagoville has even offered to pay the rent.

The Postal Service said it is talking to customers in the area, but nothing will be done for at least 90 days.
