DALLAS — Victory Park in downtown Dallas may be void of shopping areas right now, but there are big plans to change that.
High-end retail shops and restaurants next door to the American Airlines Center struggled and closed during the recession.
So Victory Park has partnered with Trademark Property Company of Fort Worth to "reposition" the high-profile space.
"Victory Park is a strategic asset to the D-FW area, and we are convinced that it can be a highly successful retail, dining and entertainment district," said Trademark CEO Terry Montesi in a written statement.
It will be Trademark's job to develop a new leasing strategy to remodel storefronts and attract new tenants.
Victory Park recently announced a 23-story office tower and a five-story apartment complex will be added to the mixed-use development.
WFAA has a broadcast facility on the ground floor of one of the Victory Park office buildings.
