The chemical plant operator hoping to expand operations in Ellis County has decided not to seek permission from county officials to travel on their roads.

Magnablend's owner was facing huge opposition from prospective new neighbors in the wake of last October's massive explosion and fire in Waxahachie.

Magnablend was initially going to ask that truck weight limits be changed on county roads leading up to his proposed new plant west of Waxahachie. The owner now has decided to pay extra money to the state so his trucks can use any road, regardless of weight limits.
