News 8 has learned that American Airlines' pilots feel they are close to a deal.
The Allied Pilots Association will present a contract to its board this week.
Pay and outsourcing are two issues still being worked out with the Fort Worth-based carrier.
Pilots are the American's only labor group that has yet to reach a new deal with the bankrupt airline.
