DALLAS — Dallas is among a dozen cities in which customers can now receive their orders the same day as they're placed online.
According to their site, same-day delivery is an option for shoppers in cities such as Dallas, Los Angeles and Seattle as long as customers place the order by a set cutoff time that varies in each location.
Luckily for Dallas customers, the cutoff time is 12:15 p.m., one of the latest provided by the company.
"If the order is placed after the deadline, your order will be delivered the next business day," read an explainer on the company's website.
Weekend deliveries, including Sunday, are also available to some locations. Amazon says customers will know if their order qualifies for same-day delivery when they see the "Get it Today" option.
The express delivery comes at a cost. Regular customers pay $8.99 per shipment while Prime members pay $5.99.
The news comes after the company announced another fast option for customers to recieve their packages through Amazon Locker. Shoppers can pick up eligible items at Locker locations across North Texas. The service is free, cutting out the shipping cost.
Back in March, Amazon announced a rise in Prime memberships from $79 to $99 per year.
