Grain futures, livestock prices rise

CHICAGO (AP) — Grains futures rose Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery rose 13.5 cents to $7.125 a bushel; May corn rose 4.5 cents to $6.335 a bushel; May oats added 4.25 cents to $3.6375 a bushel; while May soybeans jumped 16.25 cents to $13.78 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices also rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle rose 0.52 cent to $1.2202 a pound; May feeder cattle rose 0.45 cent to $1.4475 a pound; June lean hogs added 0.85 cent to 90.55 cents a pound.
