Body found in Lake Ray Hubbard identified

The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office has identified a body found earlier this week in Lake Ray Hubbard.

The body of Prince Slaughter, 51, of Garland, was removed from the water near the 4000 block of Zion Road Tuesday morning.

Police say Slaughter put his boat on the lake with another person. While parking his car, the boat began to drift, and Slaughter jumped into the lake to swim to the boat.

Another boater spotted Slaughter going underwater and tried to save him, but Slaughter was dead before he could be taken ashore.
