Outrage is growing over a light sentence a Dallas judge gave to an admitted rapist.
A student who was 18-years-old at the time, admitted to raping a 14-year-old classmate inside Booker T. Washington High School.
Judge Jeanine Howard sentenced the man to probation. She said she gave him such a light sentence partly because his victim wasn’t a virgin.
Does this sentence send the wrong message to victims?
Executive Director of the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center joined Shelly Slater on News 8 at 4 to talk about the consequences.
