DALLAS — Police in Addison have reported that a trailer stolen from the parking lot of a Dallas hotel was recovered. However, police said the estimated $25,000 worth of equipment that was reported inside the trailer was missing.
The trailer was used by the Teen Nation Tour, an anti-bullying awareness show.
The group was staying at the Best Western Plus Addison Galleria Hotel on Landmark Boulevard when their single-axle, white trailer was stolen from the parking lot. The theft came as the group was scheduled to perform two shows Monday in Dallas.
Dallas police found the trailer in the 9500 block of Lenel Place. Police said the trailer was empty.
The Teen Nation Tour uses music to spread an anti-bullying message in a 90-minute program. The group was in the middle of their 10-month nationwide tour when they were targeted by the thieves.
Addison police estimated the total value of the trailer and equipment inside at $30,000.
On their Twitter account, Teen Nation Tour thanked people "for the outpouring of support."
"Can't stop the Teen Nation Tour," read a tweet.
Despite the theft, the group said they will perform at 9 a.m. at the Daniel Webster Elementary.
