There's been an arrest in connection with the murder of a Weatherford woman.
Officers picked up Hector Trejo for a parole violation on Friday evening near Las Vegas Trail and Calmont Avenue in West Fort Worth. Investigators said he later implicated himself in the death of Linda Preston during an interrogation.
Preston had been renting a home on Wildwood Trail from Trejo's family. According to the Parker County Sheriff's office, the 28-year-old suspect told them he had argued with Preston because she wouldn't let him borrow her car.
Her husband discoverd her body on Thursday. Her neck had been cut.
Investigators later found Preston's car outside Fort Worth; nothing else had been taken.
Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said he anticipates another arrest for making a false report.
