DALLAS -- A Texas state trooper suffered minor injuries in a car wreck on the Dallas North Tollway late Tuesday, a spokesperson from the Department of Public Safety said.
The trooper parked his car on the shoulder of the tollway near Forest Lane while he worked traffic patrol.
The trooper said he noticed a car coming up behind him at a high rate of speed. The driver of that car, a Porsche, slammed on his brakes and swerved to avoid the trooper. But, he lost control, spun out and hit the back of the trooper's patrol car, authorities said.
Paramedics took the driver of the Porsche to a Dallas hospital to be treated.
The state trooper had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
