DALLAS -- For the past seven years, the Reunion Tower was hardly the tourism draw it was designed to be.

Back in 2007, the observation deck closed for renovation, but when the economy went under, construction stopped.

Over the last six months, crews worked to finish what was started six years ago.

“I think that anyone that has grown up in Dallas has really grown up with the tower,” said Chris Kleinert of Hunt Realty Investments.

The renovated observation deck, called the GeO-Deck, features technology to help guests get information on the scenic views they are taking in.

“We have been patiently waiting these five, six years to reopen and then momentum really picked up in the last year or so as all these things started happening around the city of Dallas,” Kleinert said.
