DALLAS — High-ranking Dallas police sources told News 8 Wednesday that James Harper, the suspect in Tuesday's officer-involved shooting, had no wounds to his back.
The medical examiner's office has not yet released its full report. Their preliminary statement only said Harper was killed by a gunshot wound.
Family members continue to dispute police accounts of the shooting, and believe he was shot in the back.
Dallas Police Chief David Brown said in a news conference Tuesday night he believed the suspect had been shot in the stomach and hand.
