DALLAS — Police are investigating the cause of death of a woman whose body was found early Sunday morning by a person who was walking the Katy Trail at the corner of Maple Avenue and Turtle Creek Boulevard in Dallas.
According to Monica Cordova, a spokeswoman with the Dallas Police Department, authorities received a call from the passerby, who reported finding an unresponsive person at about 7:40 a.m. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and found a deceased woman.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene, but her cause of death has yet to be determined.
"We don't have any signs of foul play at the moment," Cordova said."... There were signs she became ill."
Police said the woman is white and in her late 40s or early 50s. Authorities are working to determine the woman's identity.
