Pedestrian killed after being struck by motorcycle in Arlington

ARLINGTON -- Arlington police are investigating whether a man who was fatally struck by a motorcycle in an Arlington road was intoxicated Friday evening.

Around 6:45 p.m., the victim, a man in his 20s, attempted to cross the road in the 400 block of E. Sublett Road near Matlock Road. He was hit by a motorcycle in the right lane, and taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The motorcycle driver, a man in his 30s, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Neither the driver or pedestrian have been identified.
