Partly sunny skies for D-FW

Moderate temperatures were expected across much of Texas on Friday with a chance of rain in some locations.

Partly sunny skies were expected in Dallas-Fort Worth with a high near 45 degrees and a 30 percent chance of showers. The low should drop to around 40 under mostly cloudy skies.

Rain was likely in Houston under cloudy skies with a high near 52 degrees. East winds around 15 mph were expected with gusts as high as 20 mph. The chance of precipitation was 70 percent. The low should fall to around 47.

Areas of drizzle were expected in the Rio Grande Valley with a high near 61 degrees in Brownsville. The low should drop to around 52.

 

Mostly sunny skies were predicted in the Panhandle with a high near 47 in Amarillo. Wind chill values should be between 7 and 17 early. The low should fall to around 26 on Friday night.
