DALLAS — Police say speed was a factor in a fatal motorcycle accident early Saturday morning.
Investigators said the driver was clocked on radar traveling 90 mph in a 35 mph zone on Buckner Boulevard, and then appeared to accelerate. The officer did not pursue the motorcycle because of how fast it was traveling.
According to witnesses, the cyclist ran a red light and struck a car making a turn in front of him at the corner of Buckner and Military Parkway around 3 a.m.
The motorcyclist, who was identified as 41-year-old Adolphus U. Davis, died at the scene.
Two people in the car were taken to Baylor University Medical Center, but their their conditions were not available.
