DALLAS -- The driver of a disabled vehicle was hit and killed by a car in the early hours of Sunday on Interstate 30 near Dolphin Road.
Around 1:40 a.m. Sunday, a blue 2006 Honda Civic with one occupant struck the HOV lane retaining wall on eastbound I-30 just past Dolphin Road. The driver got out of the Civic and walked back westbound before he was struck one or two times by passing vehicles.
The driver, who has not been identified, died at the scene.
Investigators on the scene were trying to determine how the vehicles on scene were involved Sunday morning. It is unknown id any charges will be filed.
While police were investigating the scene Sunday, one of the squad cars that had blocked off the area was struck by a vehicle that had driven past the line of flares in the road. The driver of that car, Hakeem Muhammad, 27, was arrested for possession of marijuana under two ounces.
