A lawn maintenance employee drowned Monday morning at a Plano golf course after he was pinned in a pond by a lawnmower.

Plano Fire-Rescue crews arrived at The Courses at Watters Creek at 8:20 a.m. to find lawn maintenance personnel performing CPR on the man, according to Plano Fire Captain Peggy Harrell. He had apparently been pinned in the pond under a large lawnmower.

According to the other employees, the man had last been seen a half-hour before he was found.

Fire personnel took the man to Medical Center of Plano where he was pronounced dead.

It was the second fatal drowning reported this summer at a pond at The Courses at Watters Creek. In June, police pulled a man from a large pond of the course after homeowners called to report a man yelling for help.

Police will conduct an investigation into Monday's drowning.
