CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte police say an 18-year-old man has been shot to death at a weekend party.

Police say 18-year-old Kevin Washington died after he was shot early Sunday morning at a party for a group of teens.

Police say two other teens were wounded, one in the leg and the other in the arm.

No arrests have been made.

Neighbors said there were many people at the party and most of the fled after shots were fired.

Washington's sister, Kenya Blandon, is pleading for witnesses to come forward.

"There were so many people around that someway, somehow, somebody knows something," she said.

Blandon said Washington was a "great kid" who "always had a smile on his face."

Washington's Facebook page shows he went to Rocky River High School in Mint Hill, North Carolina, before transferring to Keller Central High School. He played football at both schools and his sister said Washington was training in the hopes of playing for UNC Charlotte's football team.
