KELLER - A new program at Keller Central High has girls sitting down face to face to empower each other and redefine beauty.

When 250 girls were asked on an anonymous survey what makes them feel good about themselves, 77 percent didn't have good things to say. Responses like "nothing" or "alcohol" were enough to confirm the need for female support.

The Keller Independent School District launched a 13-week mentoring program to create not only self esteem, but inner beauty, self worth and leadership skills. The team goes into middle schools to mentor younger girls coming into one of the trickiest parts of life, swapping gossip for support.
