Another Texas legislative session is winding down. Our guests this week are Matt Mackowiak, a conservative political consultant, and Democratic political consultant Jason Stanford.

They discuss what went right, what went wrong, and where lawmakers missed the mark.

My Voice, My Opinion

Gov. Rick Perry has been talking tough on Medicaid, saying he has no intention of expanding the program to help the state's poor, elderly and disabled. Last year, the governor suggested doing so would be like adding more people to the Titanic. State Democratic Party vice chair Tarsha Hardy says the governor is really telling millions of Texans that he has no problem watching them sink.

Flashpoint

The White House is on the defensive — first Benghazi; then the IRS; now the Associated Press and Fox News. The scandals have served to derail President Obama's second term agenda so far. But how much of any of these might stick? From the right, Mark Davis of 660 AM The Answer and from the left, author and producer Katie Sherrod share their views.

Roundtable

Guns got the most attention this legislative session outside of the budget and business tax breaks. Gun laws face some changes... and some defeats. Dallas Morning News Austin bureau chief Christy Hoppe and Fort Worth Star-Telegram columnist Bud Kennedy join host Jason Whitely to discuss guns, Gov. Perry and redistricting.
