MARFA (AP) -- A West Texas film festival that debuted in 2008 but then took a two-year hiatus due to legal issues is scheduled to resume next year.
Organizers of the independent Marfa Film Festival have announced June 26-30 dates for the event in the town of about 2,000.
The San Antonio Express-News reported Sunday that festival creator Robin Lambaria says a legal dispute on ownership and control was resolved in July. Specifics weren't immediately available.
Lambaria says she expects to receive more than 1,000 film submissions. The deadline is March 17.
Marfa is located about 190 miles southeast of El Paso.
