Have a warrant out of Garland? You'll want to mark Friday March 1 –– the police department promises that those with outstanding warrants will not be arrested if they appear before a judge on that day.

Their fines may even be reduced.

This "Recall Day" comes just ahead of the Great Texas Warrant Roundup scheduled for March 2-20.

The roundup will consist of more than 250 law enforcement agencies around the state arresting anyone with outstanding warrants and minor infractions –– like traffic and parking tickets –– as well as more serious violations, according to a news release from the City of Garland.

In order to participate in Recall Day, Garland residents need to bring a valid ID to the second floor Courtroom No. 3 at 1791 West Avenue B from 9 a.m. to noon.

For more information, contact Lt. Rufus Rodriguez, with the Garland City Marshal’s office at
972-487-7341.
