FRISCO, Texas -- The City of Frisco will begin enforcing a new ordinance on residential and business burglar alarms next month.

The move comes after police responded to nearly 10,000 alarms in 2009, most of which were false.

Anyone with an alarm will now have to pay an annual fee of $35.  The City will begin charging for more than three false burglar alarms.

The ordinance goes into effect March 1.
