Fire kills young man at Dallas duplex

DALLAS - A small memorial of flowers, notes and a teddy bear mark the site where a University Park man died in a fire.

Police tape surrounded the duplex where 18-year-old James Harrison was pulled from a bedroom early Saturday morning.

Firefighters found smoke coming from the roof of the home on Northwest Parkway. Once the the fire was put out, firefighters discovered Harrison unconscious. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He was the only one inside the duplex. The fire started in the kitchen.
