A private funeral service for David "Kidd" Kraddick was held Friday at The Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on North Davis Street. Family, co-workers and friends gathered for the ceremony, which lasted for just over an hour. Co-hosts J-Si Chavez and Big Al Mack were among the several hundred people seen attending the service.

Kraddick died last weekend while at a charity golf tournament in New Orleans. He was raising money for his foundation Kidd's Kids. The medical examiner in Louisiana said Kraddick likely died from previous heart-related problems.

Plans for a public memorial service to honor Kraddick have not been released. Kraddick has been on the radio in Dallas since 1984. He was syndicated in more than 75 cities across the country.
