Fatal shooting
DALLAS — Road rage may have sparked a deadly incident on Interstate 35E in Dallas early Sunday morning.
Police said a 22-year-old man was shot and killed after getting out of his car around 5:10 a.m. in the Regal Row U-turn lane under the highway.
Police are trying to figure out why the victim got out of his car and confronted the suspect.
"We believe shooting is the result of a road rage type of incident, but we still have a lot of wintnesses to talk to," said Dallas police Sgt. Eugene Reyes.
The victim's identity was not released.
Witnesses told police there was a backup on I-35E before the gunfire.
Investigators said they don't have a description of the killer's vehicle.
