DALLAS -- It is National School Breakfast Week and the Dallas Independent School District is celebrating by showing how their 'Breakfast in the Classroom' program works.

All students at 'Breakfast in the Classroom' schools like Charles Rice Learning Center get a free breakfast every day.

The students do not eat it in the cafeteria. They have breakfast in the classroom, which ensures that all students are there to get the free meal.

Across the U.S. only about 40 percent of the children who are eligible to get a free breakfast take advantage of the meal and the reason is the school buses may not come on time.
