Convicted nanny to be re-tried for 2006 murder

MCKINNEY - A nanny convicted of murdering a North Texas child who was in her care will be back in court Monday for a re-trial.

In 2006, A jury found Ada Cuadros guilty of killing 14-month-old Kyle Lazarchik. Cuadros claimed it was an accident. She was sentenced to life in prison.

The 5th District Court of Appeals found there was enough evidence for a new trial.

The opening day of Cuadros new trial begins Monday morning at the Collin County Courthouse in McKinney.
