CEDAR HILL — A Cedar Hill congregation vowed to rebuild on Sunday, even as they relied on a neighbor for sanctuary.
A welcome sign greeted members of Graceland Community Baptist Church when they arrived at Cedar Hill Church of Christ.
Graceland's building burned in a fire last week, and Cedar Hill stepped in to give them a place to worship.
Graceland's members say they now have one mission: "We're going to at this time just try and worship and give thanks to our God," said Pastor Cedric Stricklin. "Even though negative may come, we can still have joy in the midst of our sorrows."
Pastor Stricklin added his congregation is unified, possibly stronger than before the fire.
