CEDAR HILL- The Cedar Hill Independent School District is offering $1,000 to teachers and other contract staff if they turn in retirement notices for next year, early.

The district expects budget deficit as high as $8 million due to state budget cuts.

The board approved the incentives last night. It has set aside $50,000 for the first 50 employees who step forward and accept the deal.
