BEDFORD — The Kwik Kar Lube & Tune on Central Drive in Bedford was badly damaged in a-two alarm fire Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators said mechanics were removing the gas tank from a vehicle when fuel spilled, sparking a fire which spread to two bays.

The owner's dog was in an office, and was overcome by smoke.

Firefighters revived the animal and took it to a Southlake veterinary hospital for treatment.

Damage was said to be "extensive," but no estimate was available.
